2024 Kay County Republican Precinct Meetings and County Convention Report

The 2024 Kay County Republican Convention took place on March 2nd at the Ponca City VFW Post. We started off meeting by precinct with each precinct meeting individually. Once those concluded the County Convention kicked off. Darren Hamilton, candidate for Oklahoma’s 3rd Congressional District came and spoke about why he is running. We took a break for lunch and then Charity Linch, founder of the Freedom Brigades, talked about the strategy for taking back our community. The business brought from the precincts was then worked through as a county. In summary, 11 rule changes were passed to the State Party Rules with one additional rule for both the CD3 and the Kay County Parties regarding quorum requirements. 6 changes were passed to the State Party Platform and 4 Resolutions also were passed. The changes to the State Party Rules and Platform will be voted on at the Oklahoma State Republican Party Convention in May. We are very excited for the participation that we had and look forward to continuing in the direction of the grassroots members and representing that to the state party. Below are the documents that were forwarded on to the state headquarters for consideration at the State Convention.
